About

On the 1 day course, students will gain the ability to recognise life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively as well as learn basic skills ranging from small injuries to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Upon successful completion of this first aid course, students will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.

Our Emergency First Aid at Work course meets all criteria set out by the Health and Safety Executive and in accordance with the Resuscitation Council UK guidelines on treatment.

This 1 day first aid course consists of 8 hours first aid training. This course is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller working environments. Furthermore, the qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first aid needs assessment.

Those who complete the course and satisfactorily reach the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for 3 years. Under the current guidelines it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.

Certificates are issued through our approved awarding organisation Qualifications Network and compliant with SQF (Scotland) and OFQUAL (England Wales) framework.

This first aid training course is the choice of many employers to ensure they are meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations. If you require more comprehensive training package, take a look at our 3 day First Aid at Work course.
